Every bar and bottle of Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap carries a story that begins long before it reaches your bathroom shelf. It starts in the soil, in Ghana, Palestine, Sri Lanka, and beyond, where thousands of smallholder farmers are working the land in a way that gives back more than it takes. This Earth Month, we're shining a light on that story with our global 'Heal Earth with Magic Soap!' campaign.

Why Regenerative Organic Agriculture?

We hear a lot about sustainability, but at Dr. Bronner's, we believe the goal isn't just to do less harm. It's to actively heal. That's the promise of regenerative organic agriculture: farming practices that restore soil health, sequester carbon, support biodiversity, and build resilient communities.

All major raw materials in our biodegradable, plant-based products are sourced from certified organic and certified fair trade projects. We work directly with farmers to implement practices like minimal tillage, diverse crop rotation, composting, and cover cropping, techniques that pull carbon from the atmosphere and put life back into the earth.

We support thousands of smallholder farmers through fair prices and fair wages, from palm oil growers in Ghana, to olive oil producers in Palestine and Israel, to coconut farmers in Sri Lanka. When farmers thrive, communities thrive. And when soil is treated with care, the planet does too.

What We Give Back

Dr. Bronner's donates all profits not needed for business development. In 2025, we gave an estimated $5.5 million to activist and charitable causes worldwide. In the UK, that includes support for Ecohustler, Surge Activism, and Emmaus Brighton & Hove, organisations doing vital work for people and planet right here at home.
