Founded in the U.S. in 1948, the company models its progressive business practices on 6 cosmic principles derived from Dr. Bronner’s Moral ABC, the philosophy printed on the Castile Soap labels. According to 2017 sales, a bottle of Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap was sold every 2.2 seconds throughout the year.

Dr. Bronner’s is a registered benefit corporation in California, and a Certified B Corp., meaning its legally defined goals as a company include having a positive impact on society, workers, the community, and the environment, in addition to making profit. The company’s mission is to make socially and environmentally responsible products of the highest quality, and dedicate profits to help make a better world. Family and fun are also at the heart of our business.
Lisa Bronner, granddaughter of founder Dr. Bronner, is an expert on green home cleaning and personal care, and an advocate for environmental stewardship and sustainable lifestyles. Her video series Going Green with a Bronner Mom shares “Green It Yourself” recipes, tips and practices for a healthy green home.
Dr. Bronner's Magic Foam Experience
Dr. Bronner’s Magic Foam Experience is a novel, ecological and exhilarating foam "shower" that we take to beach parties, mud-runs, music festivals, pride parades, schools, and outdoor celebrations.
