This year, we were proud to mark the fifth anniversary of our international philanthropy program in 2024. Through the All-One International Initiative, at a minimum, 1% of sales to Dr. Bronner’s participating international markets are contributed to local advocacy efforts in support of social justice, environmental sustainability, and animal advocacy. Over the last five years, Dr. Bronner’s has contributed over $1,000,000 to 70 organisations through the All-One International Initiative.

In the UK, the All-One Partnerships funds four organisations; Surge Activism, City to Sea, Emmaus Brighton & Hove and Ecohustler.

Emmaus Brighton and Hove

Emmaus Brighton is an organisation which helps support those who are homeless, offering shelter and work for up to 52 companions. Karen Chapman, Chief Executive of Emmaus Brighton and Hove saidin 2024, Dr Bronner provided us with funding towards the redecorating of the Companion kitchen, dining room and lounge area. The Companion kitchen has been completed, and we will start work on the decorating of the dining room and lounge in the New Year. The kitchen has been a huge success enabling more Companions to cook together in the kitchen. I often see Companions preparing meals that they then sit down together to share, each of them preparing a different course. The dining room and lounge are tired and we have Companions keen to choose the new furniture and make it a more comfortable area to share together. I am sure that this will be as successful as the kitchen has proved to be.  In 2025, we have so many plans.

  • Currently a number of Companions are doing a horticultural course with a local college. We want to build on this, supporting them to expand and practice their new learned skills in the grounds to grow vegetables and plants that attract wildlife.
  • We are about to submit a planning application for solar panels to be installed and are investigating ways to harvest water.
  • We have a funding application pending with a local University to convert our waste plastic (from unsellable donations) to flowerpots or chairs. Should we be successful this will help reduce our waste but also provide Companions with new skills.”

Ecohustler

Environmental activist group Ecohustler has been busy this year raising awareness around dFAD tuna, amplifying their message with powerful demonstrations such as the display outside of major supermarkets in March that garnered lots of press attention. Matt Mellan, Founder of Ecohustler says “In 2025, we are continuing to develop our tuna campaign, specifically about tuna caught in the most harmful way - dFAD tuna. We also are working on a video about Beaver Bombing, the unsanctioned reintroduction of wildlife. Read more about this here: Beaver bombing | Ecohustler

Surge Activism

Surge Activism has continued to be active with their hard hitting messaging around animal advocacy, launching their latest video on World Vegan Day. A new animated film based on the incredible true story of Matilda the pig and narrated by Bella Ramsey.

In 2025, The Surge Sanctuary, created by Surge founder Ed Winters, is releasing its first ever calendar featuring stories and images of the animals who have been rescued from dire situations, to help fund the winter supplies for their residents. Dr. Bronner’s is proud to be sponsoring the month of Plastic Free July so make sure to keep an eye out! Surge will also continue to tour universities, posting engaging debates Ed has with students on Veganism, animal treatment and more. Especially around Veganuary, Ed’s book ‘How to Argue with a Meat Eater’ is a must, and is now available in paperback!

City to Sea

In 2024, the Dr. Bronner’s team supported City to Sea on their World Refill project, ‘Step Up for Refill’. We walked through the streets of London and stopped at three of the UK’s leading political party headquarters to deliver City to Sea’s message in a bottle. Delivered in an eco-refill bottle, each contained an open letter calling for legally binding targets on refill & reuse, publicly signed by their network of concerned NGOs, business leaders and ambassadors. We hand delivered the message in an eco-refill bottle to the Liberal Democrats, Conservatives & Labour party. Along the way, we picked up any litter we saw on the ground and took advantage of the multiple water refill stations dotted around the capital, demonstrating how refill is accessible.

In 2025, City to Sea has something exciting coming early in the year. For the second year running, they will be running their Global Reuse Summit on Wednesday 12th of March. As well as this, the team will be continuing to engage with businesses and organisations, creating action led campaigns to make a real difference within the refill space, plastic pollution and period care.

On the All One Initiative, Michael Bronner, President of Dr. Bronner’s says “Since the inception of our company, Dr. Bronner’s has always worked to be an engine for positive and meaningful social change. It is our mission to use our company to fight for and financially support our core causes, not only in the United States, but across the globe. We are proud to have been able to provide over one million dollars of support over the past five years to effective and dynamic organizations around the world working to make progress for animals, people, and the planet. The All-One International Initiative embodies the ethos of my grandfather’s All-One! message and actualizes his vision to unite and fight for what’s right.”
